June 18th to June 19th. Hacking officially begins at noon, and runs for 24 hours. A more detailed schedule will be released soon!
Where is it?TravelHacks is hosted at Flatbook's Montreal headquarters at 3875 Rue St. Urbain, third floor.
Is it free?Yes, including all food and drink during the event. Transportation is on you, though!
How big should my team be?Teams should be between 3 to 5 people.
Do I have to submit a hack?Yes, all participants should have something to show by the end of the weekend. It doesn't even need to be polished, we just want everyone to share their hard work.
I don't have a team!Don't worry, we'll be sure to match you up with some awesome people.
What can I make?Anything you'd like, but we ask that you start a new project fresh. You can create web/mobile apps or hardware projects, as long as it fits the hackathon's theme. Feel free to use any third party API's. Projects will be judged on a number of categories, such as creativity, utility, technical difficulty, etc.
Who does my project belong to?You and your teammates. Your team retains full ownership of whatever you choose to build.
I'm not really that good at coding.Come out and learn! We'll have mentors around to provide guidance, and your team members will help you get started.
Anything else I should know about? We just ask that you be respectful to others throughout the event. We want everyone to have an awesome time.
